Great book and lots to think about with how we need to be the spouse Christ calls us to be. I am not married but dating someone that I am very much in love with and trying to prepare myself to be the best man that I can for her!
A must for any marriage. Good one to give to newlyweds.
I would recommend this book to anyone who values marriage or is planning on a marriage. I would also recomend it as a book to give teenagers to prepare them for dating and marriage. It explains many of the mistakes that we make in our marriages and how to correct them. Dealing with the difference of what is being said by one person and is being heard by the other.
As a communication professional who has written feature articles in a national magazine regarding marriage and divorce, I found Two Fleas & No Dog to be the best book on marriage communication I've ever read. I recommend it all the time and I also give it as a gift to newlyweds-- it comes in an audio, as well as kindle download, too. Two Thumbs Up, Five Stars.
A friend had told me about this book sometime ago. But I couldn't remember the exact name to save my life. Remembered a flea, a dog,a wart hog, until I started searching on . They had I tried on e books and couldn't stop reading. Alot of things pretained to my marriage.For some reason I couldn't buy the kindle download. However bought a used copy and was shocked that i only paid a little over $5.00 for book and shipping. When it arrived I was even more shocked by the condition on the book. It looked as if it had never been opened. Have read the book and passing it on to wife to read. I would recommend this book to any Christian couple having issues.
This book is great! It changed my marriage and my life. I am a different person after I learned about "fleas." I realized I can be a flea and probably so can everyone at times, and it's not healthy for relationships. I have learned to not do that and so has my husband. It's made a huge difference in our relationship. I highly recommend this book!
A Marriage changing book. It has brought us to a place we never emagined. A place of forgiveness, trust and openness. We thought we had an amazing marriage of 33 years but after reading this book , our marriage went from amazing to miraculous! Our marriage went from what we made it to what God planned all along. Thank you Craig Hill for being lead by the Spirit to help relationships not only become better but to help couples grow in their destiny & work together as one.
I met Craig when he flew into Asheville to do a workshop.
I went as Bette invited me and i had nothing better to do that weekend anyways.
He conducted a workshop that taught and explained how the BLESSINGS of parents (or lack thereof) affect people when they are young, growing up and grown.
Blessings come in various forms such as bar mitzvahs, crowning ceremonies, parties, celebrations, sweet 16 ball, words of Affirmations while growing up etc.
In a SAFE environment, we were able to share challenges or traumas if any which have affected us.
We received a therapeutic ceremonious Blessing for those of us who missed out on such an important thing.
The best part of this book about Fleadom is where he explains that many people get excited believing they've found that special someone who will make them happy and vice versa, only to later discover that each person, if co-dependent, has neediness-es that suck the life out of the other.
Akin to 2 fleas who think they've found a juicy dog to feed them and each later finding that the other is also a flea.
Sorry some may take offense to this kind of analogy but there is no offense intended.
Its just a way of explaining the dynamics of one of many reasons relationships can fail.
We were not designed to be happy by sucking the lifeblood out of someone else. It often doesn't work.
I recommend any of Craig Hill's books, especially his newest one about wealth secrets and the book about prayer/why pray.
